What you’ll do
As a Senior Insolvency Administrator, you’ll play a key role in managing complex insolvency cases while providing guidance and support to less experienced team members. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will ensure cases are handled efficiently, compliantly, and professionally. You will act as a mentor to other colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management:
- Independently manage a portfolio of corporate and personal insolvency cases, including administrations, liquidations, CVAs, and bankruptcies, from inception to closure.
- Conduct detailed investigations into financial affairs, asset realisations, and director conduct, preparing reports for creditors and regulators.
- Ensure statutory deadlines are met and compliance with insolvency legislation and company procedures.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including creditors, debtors, solicitors, and financial institutions, to progress cases effectively.
Team Support:
- Provide guidance, training, and support to junior and trainee team members, helping them build their knowledge and confidence in handling insolvency cases.
- Review the work of less experienced colleagues to ensure quality and compliance, offering constructive feedback and mentoring as well as promoting a supportive and collaborative working environment.
- Play an active role in communicating within the team and across the wider Group.
Compliance and Technical Expertise:
- Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Keep up to date with changes in insolvency legislation, regulations, and best practices, sharing knowledge with the wider team.
- Support senior management in complex case matters and contribute to case strategy discussions.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist with business development initiatives, including attending networking events and contributing to client proposals.
- Provide input into internal processes and systems to efficiency and compliance.
- Be an active participant in Group wide initiatives, helping drive collaboration and continuous improvement
What we're looking for:
- Strong track record of managing insolvency cases independently.
- In-depth knowledge of insolvency legislation and procedures, particularly in corporate insolvency.
- Proficiency in IPS (or similar software) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and confidently.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A proactive and curious approach with a strong sense of accountability and problem-solving skills.
- Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) or equivalent qualification.
