Begbies Traynor Group has appointed Nick West as Partner to advise businesses across Shropshire and Mid-Wales, enhancing its insolvency services in the Midlands.

Nick brings almost two decades of experience as a licensed insolvency practitioner supporting businesses across the region in retail, agriculture, manufacturing, pubs, hotels and charities.

He joins from the consultancy he launched in 2020, West Advisory. At his firm Nick spearheaded four years of consistent growth delivering a full range of insolvency services, in addition to advice for directors on strategic decisions.

This latest appointment continues the expansion of the firm and follows the opening of Begbies Traynor’s Dudley office, led by Dan Trinham, and three additions to its growing forensic accounting offering, including Partner and National Lead for Investigation, Integrity, and Compliance Services Sannan Khan.

Craig Povey, Partner at Begbies Traynor Group, said:

“We are helping businesses across the Midlands take their next steps and advise directors on their options whether winding down or building up a company. Bringing Nick and his experience to the firm will add to the full range of services we are enhancing across the Midlands. We are all looking forward to working with Nick and clients will benefit from his knowledge.”

Nick West, Partner at Begbies Traynor Group, said:

“I am very excited to be joining the Begbies Traynor team at this time. Expanding the firm’s offering across the region at this point will give many businesses the lifeline they need and the right tools to successfully wind down operations. Being part of a firm such as Begbies Traynor, will also mean that Shropshire and Mid-Wales businesses can tap into the restructuring and funding talent throughout the group.”
