Marc Potter

Marc has more than 30 years insolvency and restructuring experience and is responsible for supporting Begbies Traynor’s ongoing growth across our East Anglia and London regions.

He began his insolvency career in the north east covering all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency, before eventually spending four years at a top ten accountancy firm advising struggling firms across East Anglia.

The Norfolk native joined CVR Global (acquired by Begbies Traynor Group in 2021) from a top 30 accountancy firm where he was responsible for business development and prior to that, he spent eight years with a London-based accountancy firm where he worked his way up from Practice Manager to Associate.

He has advised businesses from a plethora of sectors ranging from engineering, building and construction, through to travel, retail and technology, and has covered formal insolvency procedures such as creditor voluntary liquidations, compulsory liquidations and administrations, through to company voluntary arrangements, individual voluntary arrangements and bankruptcies.Marc is a firm believer in “prevention rather than cure”, and regularly speaks with businesses and other intermediaries about the benefits of taking professional advice early on rather than waiting until it is too late.

In his spare time, Marc enjoys horse riding and walking, and is also a founder member of Cycling Club Breckland.
